Chapter 9
Benjy woke up to find heâd shifted back into human form at some point during the night. He was hard and dripping from both his ass and his cock and he was rutting against JTâs thigh while JT tried to shake him more fully awake.
âHow you doing?â JT asked on seeing his eyes open.
Benjy licked his lips and considered. He was thirsty, his throat a scratchy desert, his lips dry and cracked. His mouth was open, hard breaths coming through it, and he felt floaty, not quite anchored to the bed. His stomach rumbled demands as loudly as if he hadnât had dinner last night, and he smelled like sex and sweat and something he couldnât identifyâan overlying sweetness. But mostly he was horny.
He pushed up closer to JT and moaned to find him likewise hard. So good, the two of them naked and hard and straining, fevered skin against cool skin, hungry tongues twining together. JTâs hand wrapped around his cock and he moaned again, a primal sound wrenched out of his wolf that had never felt so close to the surface while he was in human form, as if both sides of him were inhabiting his body at the same time.
He pressed down on JTâs shoulders, wanting his mouth where his hand was, that wet heat and soft suction, that glorious goodness, but he was so worked up he came before JT could scrunch down there, just spilled over his hand with a ferocity he couldnât hold back. Heâd come hard last night when JT sucked him, but somehow this was even harder. He was entirely overwhelmed by it and yet, when it was over, dissatisfied, wishing for different or more, he didnât know.
Knot his mind supplied, and he whimpered as JT cleaned him up, his cock so sensitive he almost couldnât bear to have it touched and yet when JT stopped touching him, he whimpered again. He was sick, obviously. Feverish, wrong in his skin.
âI need a shaman,â he mumbled. What if it was Sleeping Sickness? Wolves in cities got Sleeping Sickness. It spread from wolf to wolf in close quarters like wildfire, sweeping through entire towns.
âBenjy, baby, youâre not sick. Youâre in heat.â JT tried to snuggle him, but Benjy struggled his way upright.
âCanât be.â
âWhy not?â
âIâm not mated.â
âIt doesnât work like that, little wolf. Youâre in heat, but Iâm going to take care of you. Let me get you some water. You need to stay hydrated.â
Benjy slumped back onto the bed. JT would take care of him. That was good. But no, he was sick. He couldnât be in heat. That would be worse. That would be ... he didnât know. Something wrong with him. He was a very bad wolf. Bad omega. The shaman. The shaman would know. Sheâd tell JT it was sickness, not heat. Benjy struggled to his feet and found his pants where heâd left them folded last night after sorting the laundry.
âWhy are you up?â JT asked, coming back in
